Today was our last day in Dublin. After a hearty Irish breakfast we walked over to the Irish National Museum and toured through. From there we crossed the street to Trinity College and got on the end of a looooooooong line to see The Book of Kells. After waiting the better part of half an hour we decided to cut and run and grabbed a taxi to the Hertz car rental office where we were issued a Suzuki Spirit with an automatic transmission, thank goodness!
Following our taxi driver's most excellent directions we got on the highway and made our way to Killarney. I'm happy that I can add "able to drive a car on the left side of the road" to my resume, but I have to say it still feels pretty odd to drive on the left, especially in towns.
Killarney is a cute little town and we had a wonderful dinner, blackened salmon for Steve and a lamburger for me. That's not a typo, it was a burger of lamb and quite tasty.
Tomorrow we're up early to see the Cliffs of Moher and then on to Galway. From the map it looks like the scenery will be spectacular - hoping for great photos tomorrow!
