it snow fun

The on again, off again snowstorm is definitely on! There was only about 4" of snow when Steve left for work this morning at o'dark thirty and I didn't get the call that school was cancelled until about 6:20 am. They usually call it no later than 5. It is snowing like zee crazy - we've gotten somewhere between 15 and 18 inches and it is still coming down. No point in going out to shovel or run the snowblower until it stops. They are predicting that this will move out by this afternoon. The photos are of my greenhouse, the view from the front entryway and out the back door downstairs.

fun in the sunrise

Yep, it's another sunrise. Check out all the rich colors. Bright cream, gold and yellow at the horizon. Salmon, purple and black in the cloud in the foreground. Shades of purple and blue in the higher background clouds. And the shape of that cloud! They don't get much better than this.

fall fun

I love fall in Colorado. Cool, bright days blazing gold with the aspen - capturing the last bit of summer sun and reflecting it, shimmering and setting the air aglow. Gold and green and a touch of bittersweet red. Crystal clear skies, dark azure, bluer than imagination. Crisp nights and days alive with the sounds of change. Elk calling for mates, bears snuffling for food, small squirrels scolding anyone who dares come near their tree.
